I'm 15 days into a daily gratitude log and I'm loving it. My blessings are more evident as I take time to reflect and I'm definitely noticing the good a bit more. I found this mini journal at TJMaxx and it's the perfect size to devote a page per day.
Here are a few things I've found myself remembering and feeling thankful for at the end of the day: Benson's little hand on my neck when I hold him A short walk with Ben at the end of the day A Beautiful sunrise Fresh mountain air to breathe A full nights rest A running hug from Meg after school The cute old lady at Costco that insisted in taking my cart back to the cart return for me after I loaded my groceries. Dinner compliments from ALL my kids. The Resurrection My parents Our health is not one-faceted. In other words, health is not just about our physical well-being. I believe that we cannot truly be healthy and well without growing our inner light. That divine light comes from the inside and can be "trained" to ignite or diminish just like our physical bodies can be trained. Give a daily gratitude journal a try! You might be surprised at how happy it makes you!
