I wear activewear a lot because of my job, so by default I own a decent amount of activewear, although I am particular on a few things so I probably own much less than I would if I wasn't so particular. I find myself wearing some pieces WAY more often than others because those pieces all have high scores in what I've termed the "three F's": FIT, FEEL and FUNCTION. You know the ones, they are the pieces in your closet you keep returning to workout after workout, no matter what the brand. Truth: my favorite pair of running capris are some strange off brand from T.J. Maxx, but oh! I love them!
I know the "hip" brands, and I buy them, but I never buy them just to flash a logo- they must score high on my three F's.
Fit: They must fit AMAZING
Feel: They must feel AMAZING
Function: They must fulfill the measure of their creation. In other words, if they're made to be running pants then they better darn act like they're running pants!
Really, it's that simple for me.
The Lucy Studio Hatha Stregging rates the following:
Fit: 10 The waist is high, keeping you covered in downward dog if your shirt comes up. The waist is small enough to hold you in. The compression is just right for yoga and Pilates, holding you in without being constrictive. And I love the cut at the ankle. Are they leggings or are they straight cut? Both! It's a stregging!
Feel: 9 Fabric is soft but not buttery soft like some of my pants.
Function: 10 For all the above reasons. Check them out at Lucy.com!
